2023 The Peacekeeper Barossa Grenache
2023 The Peacekeeper Barossa Grenache
In any war, there is always an entity that restores the peace. Growing up amongst Barossa’s old vine Grenache, the Brothers’ developed a mutual respect for their history and the wines they produce. With this respect in mind, Grenache is undoubtedly the peacekeeper of the Brothers’ wars.
This juicy Grenache has lifted florals, red fruits, and a savoury spice. On the palate, raspberries and pomegranate persist in this textural and complex wine finishing with fine velvety tannins.
Winemaking
This small parcel of Barossa Grenache was handpicked and destemmed, not crushed, with 40% whole bunch clusters remaining. The fruit was then held at 10-15 degrees for 2 days before allowed to warm and start fermentation. The fruit then received twice daily hand plunging for 7 days before been pressed to a ceramic egg and a large French oak foudre aged on lees for 6 months and racked once. Unfined and unfiltered.
